The exhibition history of Sally James Farnham is not as extensive as some of her contemporaries. She chose to exhibit a generally small number of works in larger venues such as the National Academy of Design and the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts. She did not enjoy the notoriety of a solo exhibition during her lifetime. What follows is a concise list of all known exhibition showings during Farnham's lifetime. When appropriate the catalogue number assigned to her work has been listed following the work's title.
